Antoine “Fats” Domino chiar a vazut tot ce se putea vedea in muzica.S-a nascut in 1928 si de la varsta de 19 ani si pana astazi a facut muzica,a reinviat melodii populare si a dat o defintie proprie muzicii Rock N'Roll,motive pentru care ramane unul din artistii mei favoriti din anii ’50.

“Blueberry Hill” este un cantec popular american lansat in anii ’40,scris de Vincent Rose,Al Lewis si Larry Stock.Melodia a fost lansata de 6 ori prin casa de discuri Imperial Records,fiind interpretata de Sammy Kaye Orchestra cu mai multi solisti diferiti,punct in care single-ul a fost pasat casei de discuri Bluebird Records unde a fost lansata sub interpretarea The Glenn Miller Orchestra,varianta care a devenit cel mai mare hit al anilor ’40.

Cu toate acestea,Louis Armstrong lanseaza si el o varianta proprie a cantecului in 1949 care ajunge pe locul 29 in Billboard Top 40.Performanta sa nu se ridica,totusi,la cea a lui Fats Domino care reuseste in 1956 sa faca un hit international din deja arhi-modifcata “Blueberry Hill”,setand un nou standard pentru oricine voia sa canta muzica rock si stationand 3 sapamani pe locul 2 in Billboard Top 40,8 saptamani pe locul 1 in R&B Best Sellers Chart si intrand pe locul 82 in Top 500 Cele mai bune cantece ale tuturor timpurilor,realizat de Rolling Stone.Printre artistii care si-au pus amprenta pe acest cantec se mai numara si Bill Haley & The Comets,The Everly Brothers,Jerry Lee Lewis,Led Zeppelin,The Beach Boys sau Elton John.
